Tumble Tots is a structured, active physical play programme for children from 6 months to 7 years. It has been designed to develop children's motor skills of agility, balance and co-ordination during their formative years. At the same time, through the programme, children develop their self-confidence, independence, self-discipline, self-worth and sense of security and identity.

For more than 30 years, Tumble Tots physical play programme for children has been the springboard to developing children’s skills for life. The programme, which has benefited more than a million children since 1979, instils in them, a healthy and active lifestyle and the confidence, to reach their maximum potential.

Tumble Tots was established in 1979 by Bill Cosgrave, coach for the British Olympic Gymnastics team of 1968. Since then it has expanded internationally and now has over 100 franchisees in the UK operating from 400+ centres.

Tumble Tots believes that every child should have the opportunity to experience the joys of growing up, the challenges of developing new skills and the satisfaction of success. We are totally committed to building a healthier future. 

Tumble Tots is a mobile business in which Franchisees provide the Tumble Tots programme at various centres within their agreed territory each week, generating income through weekly session fees.

All children are required to join and become members of the National Tumble Tots Club. As part of the annual membership fee Tumble Tots members are automatically covered by personal accident insurance whilst attending sessions. Tumble Tots (UK) Limited arranges a comprehensive Insurance policy covering all aspects of the business.

Skills and knowledge required

Experience of working with children is not essential, but running a business in a child environment requires individuals to enjoy working with children and their parents.

Like all businesses Tumble Tots is demanding and initially it is very much hands-on. However, for the right person, running your own business brings a degree of freedom, flexibility and a great deal of satisfaction.

To become a Tumble Tots Franchisee you need qualities that are common to all successful business people:

Franchise fee

The Tumble Tot's franchise fee is approx £14,000.

Working capital required and investment in equipment is not known but you will also need a vehicle.
